Many people have trouble finding the time to set aside to accomplish their goals and ambitions. And some aren’t even exactly sure what theirs are. Having a vision board can help you realize what you want out of life and help you reach those goals and dreams faster because it serves as a visual representation of where you stand in achieving them.

The Power of a Vision Board

I believe the first time I heard the term vision board used was in the popular self-help movie The Secret. It was a new concept to me at the time, but seemed interesting, and I was very excited about implementing it into my life. I know there are many different methods out there you can use to help you go about achieving your dreams, but I feel this is definitely the most effective, because it’s a hands-on and creative experience that involves you. It’s similar to making a to-do list of what you need to get done for the day, but much more powerful, because you are consciously arranging the images of what your ideal life could be or what you want to have. I feel this helps those images and goals stick in your mind, so that your subconscious can begin processing them and working to achieve them. And by placing your vision board somewhere that you will see it each day, you will further embed those images into your subconscious mind until those dreams and goals become your reality.

My Experience

Since first hearing about the concept of the vision board I was very eager to try it. I found all the images online and cutouts from magazines I wanted to use, and created a simple collage. It was more of an experiment, because I wanted to see myself become more successful and the images and goals on my board to become my reality. After I completing it, I just set it aside, but in a place that I could pass or see each day, and basically put it in the back of my mind. But, without me consciously being aware of it, gradually, I began to see more success, opportunities, luck and money making it’s way into my life. I was really blown away with the results, and to this day it continuously benefits my life. Since using the vision board, it has started a success snowball, that has just gotten bigger and bigger over time. The image above is a picture of my original vision board. It’s been a few months now since I created it, and I am very pleased with the results. I am still continuously being blessed with success and amazing opportunities. If you are having trouble or finding it difficult to accomplish your goals, instead of simply writing down and checking them off when you get to them, I encourage you to create a vision board and watch your life a success be transformed as a result.
