I am a beginning amateur digital photographer and want to know what/where I can find the best photoshop to meet my needs for a decent price. I want to be able to enhance my images and do some creative digital alterations. Any advice?

Photoshop Elements. Its a stripped down version of the full Photoshop, and is especially designed to meet the needs of amateur photographers. And it’s a lot cheaper. Or, if you’re really cheap and don’t want to spend a penny, GIMP is a free image manipulation program which offers many of the same features that Photoshop does.
