Ever bored but don’t want to go to one of those sites that supposedly “entertains” you, but only leaves you feeling stupid afterwards? Well, below is a list of great sites that will both provide you with hours and hours of laughter and intellectually stimulating entertainment.

1. Instructables.com – Instructables is a web-based documentation platform where passionate people share what they do and how they do it, and learn from and collaborate with others.
2. Grouphug.us – Group Hug was founded by Gabriel Jeffrey, where the concept has always been simple: a place for anonymous confessions, with no editorial bias. Since launch, millions of people have visited, and hundreds of thousands have confessed. The press has been kind, The Vatican is officially not a fan, and numerous individuals have found inspiration in these pages, which have inspired countless clones and spinoffs, a play, a few art installations, and a book.
3. Failblog.org – Fail and epic pictures all in one blog. Hours of entertainment and amusement of videos and pictures of people doing stupid things and signs that don’t make any sense and contradict themselves.
4. Patentlysilly.com – Created by Daniel Wright, a New York City based stand up comedian who has performed at Stand Up NY, the Boston Comedy Club, Ha!, and Gotham Comedy Club, and Alex Eben Meyer, a freelance illustrator and designer, whose drawings have appeared in the New York Times, the New York Press, and PC magazine among others. It highlights the humor of invention.
5. Unwords.com – Unwords.com maintains a collection of words that individuals and groups have made up at some point in time to describe things that aren’t associated with a term in the English language, or to describe them with a term that is better suited, or to describe things for which they didn’t know the real term. In any case, these unwords, as we call them, do not normally exist in the English dictionary.
6. Fmylife.com – A collection of everyday anecdotes and stories likely to happen to anyone and everyone, sent to us exclusively by our users, which we then publish on the site. This is a space where you can let it all out and unwind by sharing the little things that screw with your day, and maybe realize that you are not alone in experiencing day to day crap. Posts start with ‘Today’ and end with ‘FML’. The site is meant to be fun to read and can be enjoyed on a daily basis.
7. Hotornot.com – Founded in 2000, HOT or NOT® is the original place to rate, date and hook up with single people 18-34. With millions rated using HOT or NOT’s proprietary “RATE” feature, HOT or NOT is the official home of hotness.

SOTM is also an attempt to gather and chronicle some of the things that people have heard in their lives, the messages and expressions that have stuck in people’s head, for reasons both obvious and odd.
13. Photobasement.com – Started by two friends, who, for over a year had wasted time sending each other the weird and humorous images they come across while wasting time online when they should have been working.
